I have no idea what this is called or where we got it but I do remember that it was GREAT! Salty and sweet not a hint of raw though but still fishy. …. I think it was called fishy bbq.

The one one the left is salmon roe, the one on the right is surf clam. Both taste like the ocean to me but the salmon roe is the one that I keep close to my heart

This has different names but where ever I go its called the Alaska roll. Filled with salmon and crab, surrounded by tobiko and topped with salmon roe….never enough fish-eggs for me.

Since me and my husband frequent certain sushi places often we have gotten to know the chefs and are happy when they decide to go off menu and create something for us. This was for our anniversary and it was not only pretty but delicious.

As much as I love a good roll, my favorite will always be straight raw. Tuna lightly dipped in soy sauce is my martini.
